Karis Van

Karis Van has been dancing for 25 years, with a focus on jazz, lyrical, hip hop, tap, ballet, and clogging. She has trained at dance studios in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and has taken from many prestigious choreographers in California and New York City. For ten years she performed in the nationally televised Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving halftime show with numerous artists.
During her 4 years in high school, she was a member of the award winning Southlake Carroll Varsity Emerald Belles Drill Team where she was named Sophomore of the Year, Jr. Lieutenant her Junior year and was Captain in her senior year.
Karis graduated from The University of Texas at Austin where she majored in education. She was a member of Redefined Dance Company for 2 years where she was able to share her love of hip hop with other dancers and had the opportunity to perform around the community. While attending UT, she taught dance and was the assistant director of Energy Dance Company at Lonestar Dance Center for Performing Arts in Pflugerville, Texas.
Mrs. Van loves being a part of the Colleyville Heritage community and traditions. Go Panthers!!
